The Spanish colonial style of the property shows off impressive tile work that adds tremendous character. My Deluxe Queen Suite had both ceiling fan and air conditioning, and I woke up to chirping birds every morning.
The hotel is about a 15-minute walk to Central Park, which can feel lengthy if you're craving immediate access to shops and restaurants. During my stay, Wi-Fi was down for three days, which was inconvenient, and there was noticeable noise from neighbors at times, including loud daytime music and nighttime animals.

my family had a wonderful experience here, as the beautifully restored colonial house made us feel at home while being only a 15-minute stroll from Parque Colon and the Cathedral of Granada, which allowed us to enjoy scenic walks and discover the city's charm.

I had an amazing six-day stay at La Polvora. The hotel's Spanish colonial style and intricate tile work caught my eye immediately. My Deluxe Queen Suite was spacious, equipped with both a ceiling fan and air conditioning, making it a comfortable retreat after exploring the sights. Waking up to the sounds of chirping birds was delightful. The service stood out. the staff, especially Kevin and Liam, made me feel like family. They organized all my tours and even provided an affordable day pass to Isleta El Recedo, which was a highlight. The breakfast options exceeded expectations, with the most expensive choice at just $5. While the pool area was small, it was relaxing, and the complimentary fresh fruit and coffee were great touches. Wifi had some connectivity issues at times, but it wasn't a major setback. I highly recommend La Polvora. it truly enhanced my Nicaraguan experience.

During my five-night stay, I really enjoyed the beautifully restored colonial house atmosphere. The icy-cold air conditioning in my Deluxe Queen Suite was a great relief given the warm weather, and I had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. Each morning, I appreciated the delicious breakfast that fueled my days exploring nearby attractions like the Chocolate Museum and Parque Colon. The walk to town was pleasant and offered a chance to see more of Granada's charm.

I had a fabulous stay with accommodating staff, particularly the owner, who made our travel plans seamless. The spacious room allowed for good rest, and the delightful Nicaraguan breakfast was a highlight. However, I did notice some noise from neighboring properties and the air conditioning in our room was less effective, which impacted our comfort during the night.

The breakfast spread was top-notch, especially the sausages. I loved kicking back by the pool in the charming colonial setting. The staff went the extra mile, making me feel right at home!
None of these were issues for us, but for posterity, expect a bit of noise from day and night critters. The hotel is a swift 15-minute walk to the main attractions or a quick $2 taxi ride. No biggie.
